Fantastic script Steve! I must admit – at first I was rather skeptical about following a different route to the graphic novel. However, after reading this, I couldn’t be happier; the character portrayals are dead on, the story is epic and the length is perfect for an animated short.

Alfred is my favorite character in this. Probably the best line in the script came from him; ALFRED PENNYWORTH; "We share a tailor. Clearly, I've misplaced my cape." The “nice” Batman was great. I loved the way he spoke to the old woman – and even smiles (very much like the BTAS Batman). It was a nice change from the grim, animal-like version of the Dark Knight. Batman is supposed to be a hero - therefore he should act like one. Commissioner Gordon was great too. His commitment and faith in Gotham’s hero were captivated perfectly. Also, I really enjoyed the way Robin and Nightwing were portrayed. They helped brighten up a very dark tale.

I’m a little concerned on how the story will progress without Oracle - but, I guess with James Gordon narrating the film, she isn’t really necessary anyway.

Once again Steven, great job. You have an amazing talent, keep at it and soon you’ll be writing for DC ;-). Also, mega thanks for helping me complete this script. We have one heck of a story to tell.
