For me it's Premiere hands down. It's so intuitive. I started on Avid and dabbled in Final Cut, but once I started using Premiere I finally felt like I'd come home.
Speaking of, I just upgraded to CS4 and I've got a project shot on a Canon HG20 which is AVCHD. I know that's a tricky format (the consensus seems to be they released it a few years too early) and even though CS4 claims to be able to handle it, the playback is almost always choppy... even when you're well over the minimum system requirements. Has anyone else shot in this format and found a good way to work with it in Premiere? Just curious. _________________ "The higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly"

Have you tried rendering it? That seems to get rid of that stuff. _________________ Atomic Horizons Unite! |

| I know it has been a while since addressing this topic, but I have just upgraded my computer. I have Avid software (Pinnacle), but it looks like I may have a shot at obtaining Premiere. Thank you for the feedback! |
