I made a thread similar to this on a another forum I post on.
I agree that there should be some manner of limiation on the size of photos in sigs as such because after awhile it makes the thread so hard to get through. |

I totally agree, reading the forums is really annoying with all those big signatures. _________________

Who says I am not to become a regular? I just signed up you know?
At any rate what is the point of having such large/multiple sigs???
It just doesn't look tidy and I know when I am cruising whatever paticular forum I am on that day I like to be able to easily access whatever information or whatnot that I am looking for.
Scrolling down a page where someone which a sig as mentioned has posted numerous times came be quite tedious.
What's the problem with limiting the size and/or number of photos allowed in sigs? People could still display what they wish to display only it wouldn't be so large. Not to mention folks with lower connection speeds who have to wait for all these large sigs to load.
In reality it's not anything that would stop me from coming to a forum but it would be nice if some manner of rule was put into place.
That's all I am saying. |

Don't make us remind you, you're still a new kid on the block too, Bio. We all had to be at some point.
As for the sig lengths, it doesn't really bother me. I'd prefer we had a "Gentlemen's agreement" in that we don't have rules and restrictions and such, but an understanding of "know the limit at what's stupid and what's not."
Avies, I definately think some limit should be enforced. I get really ****ed with people who have huge avators and force my browser to restructure to accomodate for them. 'Man Of Steel' used to be a big perp on that offense.
It doesn't really concern me, I have a written sig, and my connection is fine, so I have no problems with people's sigs lagging me, but if it's lagging others, absoutely stop it. I don't really care. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/TheShanahanNetwork

Exactly. I think is SHOULD be pretty obvious as to what is too long...but then again that may be expecting too much. Though, I do think that this is less of a problem now compared what it used to be. _________________
