|

When looking over the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 last week, I discovered both it and my Note 4 have 4K video cameras built into them.
While said smartphones are hardly the first choice for a filmmaker, I can see where they would make a good choice when needing to film discreetly, or in other special situations.
Any thoughts on this? |

I was surprised how good cell phone cameras are.
Least for close range simple movies..
Over a year ago, I had my room mate record a video for me to post on youtube.
Although, serious film makers would never use one.
They want the ability to add lenses, filters, etc... |

I've used my smartphone for filming, and was impressed with the quality. In many situations, they work well. But yeah, for many of the important shots, it's better to use a professional camera. |
