friend of mine got it yesterday, says its beyond crap. Hoping he just has to learn to get around the new features. But i wont be updating for quite some time

Fcp X is rubbish. I have both pc and macs and we have decided to stick with adobe cs5. For us it's matter of editing and how fast we can get t done. Since our clients are all like to rush things, we rather work on nle that we are more familiar with...
Remember it is the person not the software that makes a great editor. And make sure whatever nle you have, learn it as much as you can.
Like in our latest short film, we did all the fx on after effects.
