I'd really like to see this one made as well,it's just one of several batfilms and indie films on the net i'd like to see done and enjoy, but you know what they say, some things are worth the wait.

It looks like it was made. Just got done watching it.

It LOOKS great. The mix of SIN CITY's style, Tim Sale's art, and a 30's setting certainly makes for interesting visuals.

I'm sure something was lost in the translation, but I'm almost certain that most of the dialogue was terrible. An almost constant and baffling use of metaphor or simply characters saying what they were doing.

"And although temperatures are low, my city is always in a state of fever, like a suffering little gir?"

"After all, we both lick the same woman"

And then there are gems like this:

"Where'd you find the key?"
"Harleen got f***** for it"

I think I saw a nod to the Batpoles in Wayne Manor. I wanted to see the Batpoles, damn it, but instead Alfred got killed.

Then you've got Bruce/Batman going "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" every so often.

Literally the only compelling story element is Joker asking why Batman won't kill him. That was kind of cool, and whoever played The Joker did an interesting take on the character, sort of a vaudevillian angle.

"Hallo?"

I'm not gonna lie, though. I'm all for experimenting with Batman's character, but I think the filmmakers should have just made a torture porno. They were clearly more interested in atmosphere and torturous sex acts than in a coherent script.

4/5 for ambition, stunning visuals and fine camerawork, and a generally professional approach to the production.

I just watched part 1 of it over at youtube and man oh man--was it something else!

However,it was a bit disturbingly violent, but I guess that's to be expected from this batfilm, but it all looked like a cross between the universes of Batman and Sin City, very FM inspired with a slight dash of Grant's Arkham Asylum in it.

The penguin looked cool,I can't wait to see the Joker in it as well.
Pity what happened to alfred though.

I look forward to the rest of it,but at last a new Batfilm is finally released for us to enjoy, mark your calenders.

I just saw the rest of the film at their site, and oh yeah the rest of it was bloody, twisted and brilliant!

The ending sure was creepy, looks like Bats is gonna have to get the Joker's little usual killer tramp to track down as well..as usual.

Anyways,great film,I loved seeing it.

I liked it, a bit violent and disturbing for a batman film lol but it was very professional and overall a good film.

Dear lord, the curse of BabelFish subtitles! The translated dialogue is hilarious. Easily the most visually compelling Batman fan film yet, from the cinematography to the grading to the editing. Superb.

I've seen this already. This movie is crap. So what if it looks good? That's not what makes a movie.

It's disturbing, and not in a good way. It's disturbing in a way that makes me wonder what the hell is wrong with them. None of the characters were remotely close to their comic namesake, apart from some visual similarities.

You know I write dark stuff too. I like dark creepy, and disturbing stuff. But this was beyond that. One scene in particular I'd like to point out, but I'm not going to spoil it for anyone.

I agree with Sylon. Stylistically yes its very bold and daring and cool. But they take the characters into dimensions where they've never been before, and not necessarily in a good way. I'm not a fan of this either. Also it completely rips off the visual style of the amazing 'Sin City' film and the awful 'Spirit' flick.
