Funny, I was actually watching this yesterday and picked up on something I just must have overlooked... During the closing powerful montage, when Batman says "Sometimes the truth isn't good enough. Sometimes people deserve to be rewarded for their faith", they show Alfred burning Rachels letter to Bruce where she says she would have married Harvey. I knew Alfred was burning the letter to save Bruce from being hurt, but I never really thought about the irony that while Bruce was covering up the truth to protect Gotham, Alfred was doing the same to him.

I guess I was too into the music and anticipation Gordons famous last words to think about that part too much.

No one noticed Lau yelling "I'll give you food to eat!" in Mandarin when Batman was dragging him across the floor either...

In the movie the shot is so quick it's really hard to get a good look at Heath and even without the make-up this looks terrifying. I was watching this movie stoned the other day and I was thinking about how scary this would be if I actually saw The Joker in real life. Someone who has absolutely no morals whatsoever and puts on a mask over his clown makeup (in the bank robbery). Think about how messed up that is, to find out that the man who just robbed your bank with takes his mask off only to reveal his face covered in clown paint. Thats disturbing.

The most disturbing scene in the movie to me is when everyone is being forced to "lower 5th" when they see a fire truck on fire. Which is probably the most unspeakable part of the movie where the cops just drive by and don't even decide to talk about it or say anything. Because thats psychologically scary to me on a few different levels that a man would take a fire truck, light it on fire to lure the cops to underground where he awaits.

Haha wow, how'd you spot that? I guess it makes sense though, Joker saw Spiderman 3, was disgusted with Raimi's work, so he decided to rob a bank.

Of course. Don't get me wrong, love SM 1 and 2, Darkman, and have seen all of the Evil Dead's multiple times. I even have faith that Raimi will make SM 4 good, because now he has learned from his mistakes.

How do we know Raimi learned from his mistakes? Spider-Man 4 could turn out to be the Batman and Robin to his Batman Forever. lol I hope not though.

I think it reads just fine the way Scott wrote it.

...Joker saw Spiderman 3, was disgusted with Raimi's work,...
