Location Scouting
Sunday - November 8, 2009

:: The script is on its 3rd and final draft, most of the cast is set and the first half of the opening sequence has already been shot.
The next step is scouting locations and planning the shoots for the major scenes in the film -- in this case, the casino scene and the finale.

-The Casino scene has been scouted, storyboarded and scheduled. I've spoken with the board members of a fine arts academy for which I'm shooting promo videos and they've agreed to give me several extras in formal wear, as well as allowing me to dress the set and coordinate the lighting the way I want.
-The alleyways/backdrops shown in the blog are all the feasible locations for shooting the finale.

More to come later.

PRODUCTION BLOG 2

Arrow The script

Since I'm off from college, shooting is on a break, and so we'll spend the haitus examining the history of Rendezvous and I'll show you how the script evolved as well as how we got the idea to make the film into a film-noir presentation of James Bond.

This is Part 1 of a 2-part presentation. This time, we'll look at the script.

Look for Part 2 out Christmas Day.

PRODUCTION BLOG 3

Arrow The Vision

This is the second half of a 2-part blog looking at the creation of the film as a whole. Last time, we looked at how the script developed and now we will show you what the idea was for presenting James Bond in a dark, film-noir world and how we're able to accomplish that.

This blog also contains a small Christmas surprise.

Most of the music in this blog (and in Blog 2) is the work of the talented Rich Douglas, a professional composer whose work includes several popular videogames.

This blog also features an excerpt from Michael Dougherty's highly enjoyable audio dramatization of Ian Fleming's "Casino Royale."

The latest production blog is here!

March 18, 2010.

At 20% into production, we have a lot to discuss and more ideas to throw around.

There are a lot of upcoming shoots planned, and we're hoping to be 50% through production by the end of the semester. Get the latest here.

Just a small update, we've shot one of the more luxurious-looking scenes and it marks the first scene to be locked and finished! The hotel room scene has been completely edited, fully treated for audio (every sound effect recreated and ADR complete...with our last film, we had some audio problems, so I'm hoping to fix those this time around).

Also, most of my crew and some of my cast members are sticking around my hometown for the summer, so we've got a nice little to-do list for the summer to get us back up to speed...finals week is working a real number on my schedule this semester.

Stay tuned.
