Rating of: 3 of a possible 5

The sound (music excluded) simply ruined the story of this otherwise decent fan film. Having the characters speak so often and yet simultaneously having it be nearly impossible to hear what they're saying half (or even most) of the time really hurt this film. The music was pretty well edited in but it didn't help that occasionally the music made it even harder to hear what the characters were saying.

Also have to mention that last shot of Batman raising his arms and cape - sorry, I'm sure it was a thrill to perform but it just didn't work. It actually would've worked better with just the initall shot of him not moving - kinda like in Begins or Batman.

There were smaller issues with acting, and the believability of the fight scenes but mainly, everything just seemed to work better in this release than any of Palangi's other Bat-films. The opening fight/chase with Batman IN THE DARK was a welcome surprise. The lighting actually worked fairly well in the scene's more important moments. The pacing was a little fast for the entire film, but for me, that kinda made it more enjoyable. I'm not sure I could explain why, but while I was watching it I really felt like the movie did justice to Danny Elfamn's score- which, to me, is quite an accomplishment.

So, in the end, I actually rather enjoyed this fan film, despite the sound issues. Anyway, props to Palangi and crew for making another fan film and I hope the negative reviews don't get you down.
