Been working on some special effects, I have never done anything with muzzle flash and blood splatter, so I made this short to learn how to. We got together to test out the ideas and see if we could pull them off (We didn't)
Heres the teaser, which kind of looks better then the final project lol.
I will be posting the short fan film next weekend, and yes it looks funny but I wanted to get in some practice and hope the next one looks way better. _________________

I didn't see anyone get 'blown away' ..so i can't give you feed back on special effects.
You do have a great wooded area which shows up nicely, well shot footage. Guns look real and do not present themselves as obvious plastic toys other Fan films are guilty of. Looks like the making of a good war scene or whatnot.
Huge difference from the clip I saw earlier.
Some nice puffs of smoke out of the rifles. Blood effects took me by surprise at first. Not bad. Later some looked like they stayed longer than they should have. The timing all meshed with people falling down, nice editing. Some muzzle flashes looked too white, like animation. The guy with the skull mask reminded me of 'the Misfits',
some great memories seeing them in concert.
The Hostage they tried to rescue made me wince a second as the blood effect was present. Wasn't expecting that, again editing was spot on. So yea, all in all, the added effects gave some real meat to the action scenes. The ending took me back as all this was implied it was someone playing a video game. LOL
Really cool. One thing though...
The ranger icon/logo that rotates before the video starts doesn't look like in the game. I remember reflections and nice filters, which are not present here.
Do you want me to help with the logo rendering. I can do the same logo (if you provide it), but metalic, with reflections and scratches.
